Basically, passive income is money that you acquire from investments that you have either created or purchased.

If you run a business that does not require constant monitoring, then you can consider that as a source of passive or residual income. Also, online work such as article marketing, affiliate marketing, and website developing can be considered as sources. Anyway, this type of income is different from the other types because it does not generate cash flow according to the number of hours spent on working. In fact, it does not require you to work everyday. It does not even demand plenty of work done. So, it can be said that this type of income is the most desirable because it offers financial freedom.

However, it must also be noted that this type of income is not for lazy individuals. A lot of people want to earn passively because they hate spending long hours at their workplace. They also think that earning passively does not involve any amount of work. Well, these people are wrong and misguided. The truth is, to be able to generate passive income, one has to work real hard before he can relax and enjoy the fruits of his labor. While he may only need to work on something once, he must pour a lot of energy, dedication, and time on it. Also, he has to maintain what he has done and keep it updated. Success cannot be attained in a snap.

In addition, you must know that relying on passive work alone is not good. Even if the income you earn from it can sustain you until you grow old, you must still stay with your day job. Your income from your passive work can cover your future expenses, but your income from your day job will pay for your present needs. So, while you are still waiting for your passive work to flourish, you must do well on your day job.

One way might be cattering for peoples passing needs. This may sound a bit pie in the sky but people turned this passive income opportunity, into a real bussiness. A few hundered dollars could get you stated. Any ideas yet?

How about the vending business, start small and grow big.
